Draft. This describes the site as built, not the result of a formal audit. A published accessibility statement normally names the standard claimed, the date tested and who tested it. Commission an audit and complete those details before launch.
What we have done
- Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus style and a skip link to the main content.
- Menus and dialogs trap focus while open, close on Escape, and return focus to whatever opened them.
- Touch targets are at least 44×44px throughout, including the mobile menu, sub-navigation and form controls.
- Motion is decorative only. Under prefers-reduced-motion the hero video is not loaded at all and reveal animations are disabled.
- Text sizing uses relative units and reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320px.
- Form fields have persistent labels, and errors are announced and tied to their field rather than shown only as colour.
Known gaps
Listing these is more useful than claiming compliance we have not verified.
- Colour contrast has not been audited end to end
- Body text and headings were designed against the palette, but muted text on tinted panels has not been measured against WCAG AA across every combination.
- No formal assistive-technology testing
- The site has been checked by keyboard and against the accessibility tree, but not tested with real screen readers by people who use them daily.
- The hero video has no captions
- It is decorative, silent and hidden from assistive technology, so it carries no information — but it is also not something everyone can perceive.
